MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies
Amisa Ramadhani is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at the University of Oxford reading for the MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies. She is a member of Campion Hall.
Amisa’s academic journey spans law studies in Rwanda and criminology in the United States. She graduated summa cum laude from Gonzaga University. Her legal and social science background shapes her commitment to addressing complex global displacement challenges.
She has taken on diverse academic and policy research roles, including as a fellow with the Public Policy and International Affairs Program, faculty assistant, and delegate at Model United Nations conferences. She has also volunteered with the International Rescue Committee, gaining practical insights into humanitarian responses.
At Oxford, Amisa is focused on research that explores the structural drivers of forced migration, with particular emphasis on African contexts. She is passionate about contributing to evidence-based policies that promote dignity, protection, and long-term solutions for displaced populations.
Outside her academic work, Amisa enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and engaging in thoughtful conversations with friends.
