Faisal Elfaki is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Project Management Professional (PMP) with over two years of experience in the energy sector. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Energy Systems at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. Faisal is a Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholar and a member of Reuben College.

He holds a First Class BSc (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. During his undergraduate studies, Faisal conducted extensive research on renewable hydrogen, energy modelling, and the feasibility of various energy technologies. He co-founded and served as the first president of the International Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) chapter at his university, leading projects that earned the chapter the Best International Community Services Award.

At Oxford, Faisal plans to deepen his knowledge and conduct multidisciplinary research on renewable energy and advanced technologies. After completing his studies, he aims to lead and advocate for the adoption of renewable energy in Sudan and globally. Faisal is committed to fostering collaborations between NGOs, research institutions, and universities to drive innovation and knowledge transfer in the energy sector.
