Immaculate Binti Namai
MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine
Immaculate Binti Namai is a medical doctor from Kenya, currently pursuing an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford. She is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at the University of Oxford and a member of Kellogg College. Immaculate is committed to advancing equitable healthcare through digital innovation and community-based care.
She has more than five years of clinical experience and has worked in both private and public health settings, including AAR Healthcare Kenya Ltd. Her background combines social entrepreneurship and healthcare management with a strong focus on Sustainable Development Goal 3—ensuring healthy lives and promoting wellbeing for all. Binti leverages digital tools such as telemedicine to improve healthcare access in rural and last-mile communities. She holds an MBChB from the University of Nairobi and is an alumna of the Mandela Washington Fellowship (2025). She also participated in the Africa Oxford Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship Scheme in 2024.
At Oxford, Immaculate looks forward to building her knowledge in global health systems and exploring multidisciplinary approaches to health equity. She plans to return to Africa to drive innovation and improve access to quality care, particularly in underserved regions. Outside her studies, she enjoys travelling, which continues to enrich her understanding of diverse health landscapes.
