Keziah Sackey

MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine

Keziah Sackey is a medical doctor and police officer from Ghana, currently pursuing the MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine at the University of Oxford. She is a member of Christ Church and a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at the University of Oxford.

With a unique background spanning medicine and law enforcement, Keziah brings a multidisciplinary approach to global health and security. Her peacekeeping work has shaped her understanding of healthcare delivery in high-risk and conflict-affected settings. This has deepened her interest in integrating effective health policies with strong security frameworks to support sustainable peace and improve public health outcomes.

Keziah’s specific focus lies in adolescent reproductive and maternal health in conflict zones. She has led community-based public health campaigns and initiatives tackling period poverty and improving prison health. Through extensive medical outreach programmes, she has supported over 30,000 people in underserved communities.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Ghana Medical School. She also completed a certification in leadership and health management from the University of Washington School of Global Health.

At Oxford, Keziah aims to expand her expertise in health policy and systems thinking, and to develop innovative, community-led interventions for vulnerable populations in fragile settings.
