MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine

Hadeel Mohamed Muaid Abdelseid is a physician and educator from Sudan, currently pursuing an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford. She is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at the University of Oxford and a member of Somerville College. Hadeel is passionate about health equity and strengthening health systems in crisis-affected regions.

She graduated from the University of Khartoum and has consistently combined academic excellence with advocacy and service. Hadeel currently serves as Director of the Sudan ECHO Center of Excellence at SuDRO Organization, leading virtual education and telehealth initiatives to support frontline health workers across conflict zones. She works with a wide coalition of local and international partners to deliver sustainable, community-based training and knowledge-sharing. Since medical school, she has been active in clinical missions and charity work, blending care delivery with public engagement and education.

At Oxford, Hadeel hopes to deepen her understanding of global health systems and expand her capacity to design inclusive, resilient health solutions. She is particularly committed to elevating the voices of women and youth in conflict zones and ensuring they are part of global health conversations. Outside her professional life, she enjoys teaching, desert camping with her family, swimming and volunteering in local clinics—moments that continue to ground and inspire her.
