Otim Kevin is a Ugandan medical doctor pursuing an MSc in Clinical Embryology at the University of Oxford. He is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar and a member of Reuben College.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Makerere University in 2023, where he passed with honours and was included on the Dean’s List for academic excellence.
He is passionate about women’s health, with an emphasis on infertility, reproductive medicine, and assisted reproduction techniques. His major goal is to improve access to assisted reproductive technology services in Africa and to conduct research in the field to develop solutions tailored to the African population.
Otim is currently working with Neogenesis Fertility Centre and has also volunteered at Mulago Specialized Women’s Hospital. Additionally, he has participated in a multinational study on unexplained infertility across Africa and has contributed to published scientific work.
At Oxford, he aims to deepen his knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of infertility and its management, and to sharpen his research skills under the guidance of the University’s experienced faculty.
