Rita Njeru
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager
Rita Njeru is the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager at the Africa Oxford Initiative. Rita is responsible for designing and implementing approaches to evaluate impact and assess learning in order to refine existing AfOx programmes, design new ones, and provide ongoing frameworks for building research networks across the AfOx themes of Healthy People, Green Futures, Integrated Societies and Innovation for prosperity.
Prior to joining AfOx, Rita was a DPhil candidate at the Ethox centre in the Oxford Nuffield Departments of Population Health. Rita is an adaptive ethics and health systems researcher and experienced public health practitioner, with a keen interest in developing approaches to evaluate complex, innovative interventions and collaborations. Rita has a wealth of research experience including at Kenya Medical Research Institute’s Wellcome Trust Research Programme (KEMRI-WTRP) in Kenya. Rita also holds a MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine from the University of Oxford.
