A black and white portrait of a man wearing a light-colored, checkered shirt. He has a short haircut and is smiling slightly. The background is blurred, featuring what appears to be a natural, outdoor setting with trees and foliage, giving the image a relaxed and professional feel.

Prof George Warimwe is a Principal Investigator at the KEMRI Wellcome Trust in Kilifi and Associate Professor at the  Centre of Tropical Medicine and Global Health at the University of Oxford. He is a former AfOx Travel Grant recipient.

Professor George Warimwe has been awarded  The Royal Society Africa Prize for his work on zoonoses vaccine development, capacity building in Africa, and his innovative research proposal.
